Today I'm excited to shine a spotlight on a dear friend and talented entrepreneur, Desiree Vogel, the creative mind behind Brano & Brant.
After raising 4 children over the last 22 years and nurturing her creativity through costume-making and crafting home goods, Desiree decided to turn her dream into reality. In 2022 with the support of her husband, Peter, and her adult kids, she founded Brano & Brant, a small bag business born out of her passion for creation. Desiree's personal journey is as remarkable as her craftsmanship. Growing up with a strong sense of family values and resilience, she learned the importance of perseverance and compassion from a young age. But these values didn’t come easily. They resulted from times of financial struggle and the unexpected loss of her older sister Isabel. That time of poverty and the incredible loss of her sister, along with daily struggles, tested her faith and family bonds. Desiree says that she and her brothers learned to have a strong work ethic and be there for each other, no questions asked. She learned that positive change requires much work and perseverance.
Desiree's passion for sewing traces back to her childhood, where her mother's gift of a Holly Hobbie toy sewing machine sparked her love for crafting. From sewing pajamas for her stuffed animals to creating exquisite bags & totes today, her journey is a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance.
When she's not busy sewing in her cozy home studio, Desiree enjoys the simple pleasures of life alongside her husband and cherishes visits with her four children. With her oldest in Tempe, another in Los Angeles, one in Michigan, and the youngest attending U of A in Tucson, family remains at the heart of everything she does.

Desiree - I have loved watching you start with an idea and turn it into a dream business. I remember seeing you put together a display for a trunk show like you’d done them many times. I also love your high-quality packaging and branding you designed.
